Privacy Policy
Preppr is a household preparedness app: inventory your preps, see your gaps, plan by horizon, and keep supplies rotated. This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Preppr is operated by Jesse Haynes.
Information We Collect
- Account details. Your email address, an optional name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider confirms your identity and shares your email address with us to create or match your account.
- Your household. The household name, how many adults, children, and pets it plans for, and the other members who joined it with its join code.
- Your preps. The inventory, categories, catalog targets, kits, kit items, expiration dates, rotation history, checklists, and notes you enter.
- Photos you add. Item photos you choose to upload. Each one is re-encoded on our server, which strips location and other embedded metadata.
- Notification token. If you allow notifications in the iPhone app, a device token so we can send rotation reminders.
Preppr does not collect your device location, contacts, or usage analytics.
How We Use It
Your information is used only to run the app: signing you in, saving and syncing your household's data across devices and members, sending the emails you ask for (password resets, email changes, and readiness check-ins), and sending reminders you turned on. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
Sharing
Everything in a household is visible to its members, except kits a member marks as visible only to themselves. A kit or item leaves your household only when you turn on its share link; anyone with that link can see what you chose to share, and turning the link off revokes it. The same goes for the rotation calendar feed, if you subscribe to it. Gear Worth Owning links open the retailer's site through KitHold, our product catalog, which counts the click without knowing who you are. We otherwise disclose information only where the law requires it.
Tracking
Preppr does not track you across other apps or websites and includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Storage And Security
Your data is stored on our server and protected by encrypted (HTTPS) connections and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Retention And Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, then Delete Account. If you are the last member of your household, the household and all of its data are deleted with it. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing the address below.
Children
Preppr is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
